  Prof. Oses wins the $10,000 prize in the Advanced Nuclear Energy Technology Challenge

  Prof. Oses was named a winner of the Advanced Nuclear Energy Technology Challenge and received the $10,000 prize, following the live finalist pitch at the Defense TechConnect Innovation Summit in National Harbor, Maryland on September 23, 2026. The challenge is presented by TechConnect and powered by ATI, in partnership with MathWorks, and looks for technologies that make nuclear energy smaller, smarter, faster to deploy, and easier to integrate into modern energy systems.   Registration open for AI-Enabled Energy Systems

  AI-Enabled Energy Systems: Technologies, Intelligence, and Security is a one-day conference on October 28, 2026 in the Glass Pavilion on the Homewood campus. Invited talks from academia, industry, and government run through the morning, and an AI + Energy roadmap workshop follows in the afternoon. Speakers are Dr. Jessica Granderson (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), Prof. Stefano Sanvito (Trinity College Dublin), and Dr. Jasmine Brewer (Quantinuum).
